GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Ma’wa Collective is a travel and adventure organisation focused on creating intentional, safe, and uplifting experiences for Muslim women. Their trips combine adventure, community, faith-aligned support, and outdoor exploration. The Everest Base Camp Trek is a classic high-altitude trekking experience in Nepal’s iconic Khumbu region, offering participants the opportunity to trek to the foothills of the world’s highest peak while experiencing breathtaking Himalayan landscapes and Sherpa culture.
This trek begins with arrival in Kathmandu, followed by a scenic flight to Lukla, and continues as participants trek through traditional trekking villages, lush valleys, and rugged mountain terrain. The itinerary includes acclimatisation days to adjust to altitude, cultural immersion in local villages, and the highlight trek to Everest Base Camp and Kala Patthar viewpoint for panoramic mountain views. The program balances physical trekking with supportive guidance, community bonding, and cultural experiences.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
📍 Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu – transfer to hotel, free evening explore
✈️ Day 2: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla → trek to Phakding (2610 m)
🥾 Day 3: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m)
⛰ Day 4: Acclimatisation day – short hike for altitude preparation
🥾 Day 5: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche (3860 m)
🥾 Day 6: Trek from Tengboche to Dingboche (4410 m)
🧗♂️ Day 7: Second acclimatisation day (day trip in valley)
🥾 Day 8: Trek Dingboche to Lobuche (4910 m)
🥾 Day 9: Trek Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5140 m) + hike to Everest Base Camp, return to Gorak Shep
🌄 Day 10: Trek Gorak Shep → Kala Patthar (5550 m) → descend to Pheriche (4240 m)
🥾 Day 11: Trek Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
🥾 Day 12: Namche Bazaar back to Lukla
✈️ Day 13: Fly Lukla to Kathmandu → transfer to hotel, cultural dinner
✈️ Day 14: Departure home from Kathmandu
