GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Ma’wa Collective is a travel and adventure organisation focused on crafting intentional, safe, and empowering experiences for Muslim women. Their trips blend cultural exploration, nature immersion, active trekking, and community connection. For the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu trip, participants follow one of the world’s most iconic trekking routes through the Andes, combining guided hikes, rich history, breathtaking vistas, Andean culture, and shared group experiences.
This retreat is designed to balance challenge and reward — trekking the classic Inca Trail with expert guides, exploring archaeological sites along the way, and culminating in the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu. Along the route, travellers experience villages, dramatic mountain landscapes, and cultural heritage that reflect centuries of Incan civilization.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1: Arrival in Cusco — private transfer to hotel, welcome dinner included.
Day 2: Sacred Valley tour — Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero.
Day 3: Trek Day 1 — Start Inca Trail from Cusco → KM 82 → Wayllabamba campsite.
Day 4: Trek Day 2 — Wayllabamba → Llulluchapampa → Pacaymayo campsite.
Day 5: Trek Day 3 — Pacaymayo → Phuyupatamarca campsite via Inca ruins.
Day 6: Trek Day 4 — Phuyupatamarca → Sun Gate → Aguas Calientes.
Day 7: Machu Picchu exploration — guided Citadel visit; bus & train returns to Ollantaytambo.
Day 8: Free / optional activities; group farewell dinner.
Day 9: Departure from Cusco — airport transfer home.
