GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Organised by Muslim Hikers as part of the Active Inclusion Network, The Ramadan Retreat is a one-night Ramadan outdoor retreat centred around nature, community, and meaningful spiritual connection. It focuses on combining a guided hike through beautiful landscapes with shared Ramadan experiences including Iftar, night prayers, and Suhoor in a supportive and reflective setting.
This retreat is suitable for outdoor enthusiasts and anyone wishing to deepen their Ramadan experience while enjoying natural surroundings, physical movement, and community connection.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Saturday
- Arrival and registration from 11:30 AM
- Afternoon prayers and welcome briefing
- Guided hike through Ilam Park (scenic but accessible route)
- Iftar meal and evening prayers
- Night prayers & refreshments
Overnight
- Suhoor breakfast at around 03:45 AM
- Morning prayers
- Rest and optional departure
Sunday
- Breakfast & checkout by 10:00 AM
- Optional conservation taster session with National Trust Rangers
(Optional activities are guided and included.)

- 1 night stay at YHA Ilam Hall, a 17th-century gothic manor house set in 84 acres of National Trust parkland
