GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Muslim Women’s Travel Group (MWTG) organises Halal‑friendly, women‑centred travel experiences that bring like‑minded travellers together to explore new cultures, destinations, and meaningful activities with comfort, safety, and community support.
The Japan & South Korea 2026 trip is a small‑group cultural journey that blends history, food, modern urban exploration, spirituality, and local traditions across two dynamic East Asian countries. This trip includes visits to mosques, cultural sites, iconic landscapes, traditional experiences, and culinary highlights — all while accommodating prayer times and Muslim‑friendly needs.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1 — Arrival in Seoul (14th May):
Arrive at Incheon International Airport, transfer to central Seoul, unwind, and enjoy a welcome dinner with the group.
Day 2 — Traditional Korea & Hanbok Experience:
Explore Gyeongbokgung Palace with traditional Hanbok dress‑up, walk through Bukchon Hanok Village, visit Insadong Street, and pause at Seoul Central Mosque.
Day 3 — Modern Seoul:
Experience modern Seoul at Starfield Library (COEX), free time at the mall, a stroll along Cheonggyecheon Stream, and dinner at a halal‑friendly restaurant.
Day 4 — Seoul to Osaka:
Morning flight to Osaka, free time in Dotonbori (vibrant food and entertainment district), followed by dinner at a halal‑friendly restaurant.
Day 5 — Kyoto Day Trip:
Full day in Kyoto, visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha, the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, and either Tenryuji Garden or Kinkaku‑ji (Golden Pavilion). Includes a prayer stop at Kyoto Mosque.
Day 6 — Osaka to Tokyo:
Take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo, then visit Tokyo Camii Mosque, Shibuya Sky Observatory, Shibuya Crossing, and Harajuku.
Day 7 — Tokyo Tradition & Culture:
Visit the Imperial Palace Grounds, experience a kimono and matcha tea ceremony, and explore Asakusa & Senso‑ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street.
Day 8 — Mount Fuji Excursion:
Full day trip to Mount Fuji region featuring Oshino Hakkai, Chureito Pagoda, and Lake Kawaguchi with a prayer stop at Fujikawaguchiko Mosque.
Day 9 — Free Day in Tokyo:
Free time for shopping or independent exploration of Tokyo at your own pace.
Day 10 — Leisure & Farewell Dinner:
Visit TeamLab Planets immersive art museum; optional workshops or onsen visit; gather for a farewell dinner in the evening.
Day 11 — Departure (24th May):
Final breakfast, then private transfer to Tokyo Airport for your journey home.
