GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Muslim Women’s Travel Group (MWTG) is a women‑focused travel community that organises culturally mindful group expeditions with Halal‑friendly arrangements, local guides, shared experiences, and structured itineraries.
The Peru 2026 trip blends cultural immersion, sightseeing, adventure, nature, history, and guided tours across iconic Peruvian destinations for Muslim women travellers.
The journey includes desert dunes, wildlife boat tours, historic Inca sites, alpaca hikes, and the awe‑inspiring Machu Picchu.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Day 1 — Welcome to Peru (Lima):
Arrival in Lima, airport pickup and hotel transfer, relax and unwind before the adventure begins.
Day 2 — Ballestas Islands & Huacachina Oasis:
Boat tour to Ballestas Islands (sea lions, birds, scenic coastline), then visit the Huacachina desert oasis with dune buggy rides and sandboarding. Sunset over the dunes. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 3 — Free Day in Lima:
Free exploration day with optional activities such as a city tour, bike tour, or cooking class. Meals: Breakfast.
Day 4 — Cusco Arrival & City Tour:
Flight to Cusco and afternoon city tour including Qorikancha, San Pedro Market, Main Square & Cathedral, San Blas, and Sacsayhuaman Fortress. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 5 — Maras & Moray + Picnic in Sacred Valley:
Explore Maras salt mines and Moray agricultural terraces, followed by an Andean picnic with alpacas and optional painting session. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 6 — Ollantaytambo & Train to Aguas Calientes:
Visit Ollantaytambo Fortress in the Sacred Valley, then take a scenic train to Aguas Calientes, the base town for Machu Picchu exploration. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 7 — Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco:
Full visit to Machu Picchu with a guided exploration (2.5–3 hrs), then return by train and transfer back to Cusco. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 8 — Alpaca Hike & Andean Ceremony:
Guided hike with llamas or alpacas near Cusco and visit to a private textile museum with Andean cultural experiences. Meals: Breakfast & Lunch.
Day 9 — Free Day + Dinner Show or Optional Rainbow Mountain:
Free time in Cusco, followed by a spectacular dinner with live folkloric music and dance. Optional Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) hike for an additional £190. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner.
Day 10 — Airport Drop‑Off & Farewell:
Transfer to Cusco airport for departure, concluding the trip. Flight scheduled between 13:30–15:00 from Cusco to Lima.
